Diet and nutrition . This is one area that people don’t like to
change. Most trainers don’t like to admit it, but changing your diet
will make the biggest advancements in both performance and in
general health. To put it in perspective, I’m sure you don’t put
your mom’s lawn mower fuel in your race bike We work
diligently with people to change their diet in small ways so it
isn’t such a huge change. If done correctly, we can make huge steps
and improve your energy level and endurance. This is accomplished by
making sure you have the right balance of proteins carbs and fats in
your diet. Did you ever wonder why motocross racers seem to contract
strange stomach ailments causing the likes of Doug Henry to resort
to IV treatments? And Ricky, a couple of years ago with a similar
strange stomach problem? Or the Epstein Bar Syndrome that also
plagues the modern motocross racer, Tim Ferry as of late? Or Travis,
with that strange virus that dogs contract? It’s unfortunate that,
with racing, not only does the bike need to be lighter to go faster,
but it’s all about horse power to weight ratio and the rider is not
immune. The lighter the load, the faster you go (Jojo Keller would
not agree of course). Without proper nutrition your body doesn’t
have the capability to fight off strange viruses, let alone supply
your body with the energy to train and race. Through proper balance
of nutrition, we can help you around a few of the pitfalls to which
some of our Pros have fallen victim. It sounds complicated but it’s
really easy.
